Northern One Hour Heating, Northern Ben Franklin Plumbing & Northern Mister Sparky Electric is owned and operated locally. Our company has been serving the metro area since 1990, and we are currently seeking to hire an experienced residential Electrical Supervisor that dedicates their time in the field working with team members.

Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Electrical Supervisor to lead and oversee residential electrical projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety and code compliance. The Electrical Supervisor provides leadership and technical support to electricians and apprentices, reviews completed work, assists with troubleshooting, coordinates schedules and communicates with customers, office staff and management.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties: 
  • Supervise and coordinate residential electrical installations, repairs, and service work.
  • Lead and mentor electricians, apprentices, and field crews.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Review daily schedules and ensure jobs are properly staffed and completed on time
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Ensure proper installation of residential electrical systems, including: 
    • Service panels and electrical services 
    • Branch circuits 
    • Lighting and switches 
    • Receptacles 
    • GFCI and AFCI protection 
    • Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors 
    • EV charging equipment when applicable 
  • Manage labor, materials, and equipment to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Address any code corrections or deficiencies 
  • Monitor job-site cleanliness, organization and professionalism 
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and job records.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and address customer questions or concerns
  • Assist with resolving customer complaints and service issues 
  • Provide electrical work when necessary to support the team or complete a job
  • Participate in after hours or emergency situations when required 
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred (as required by state regulations).
  • Significant residential electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, NEC requirements, and local building codes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
Physical Requirements: 
  • Stand and walk for an extended period 
  • Bend, kneel, crawl climb and work in confined areas 
  • Work from ladders and lifts 
  • Lift and carry electrical materials, tools and equipment  
  • Use hands and power tools 
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions 
  • Wear required PPE and safety equipment 
Pay Structure: 100K to 120K based on experience- bonuses based on performance as well  
 



Compensation: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
