- Identify, pre-qualify, and call on non-contract customers and current contract customers to increase awareness of company service offerings.
- Prepare estimates for contracts and proposals.
- Follow-up on sales leads and lists, both self-generated and via other sources.
- Manage multiple opportunities particularly focusing on selling service agreements and new equipment.
- Sell, renew, and expand renewable service agreements, to both new and existing customers.
- Maintain a closing ratio of 70% or higher on generated leads and 50% or higher on marketed leads.
- Must always be accessible by phone.
- Demonstrate technical expertise and maintain a high level of credibility.
- Recommend solutions and link customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage.
- Positively and credibly influence service strategies with homeowners.
- Effectively develop, write, and present proposals and contracts for residential service agreements.
- Negotiate value and address resistance to close the sale.
- Maintain a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in related field preferred.
- 3 years of in-home sales experience required.
- Prior success in the HVAC industry with knowledge of industry best practices and local market greatly preferred.
- Previous experience with in-home service agreement estimating and sales preferred.
- Strong needs-based sales and relationship building skills preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills required.
- Discipline, customer focus, and passion for excellence required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
