Northern One Hour Heating, Northern Ben Franklin Plumbing & Northern Mister Sparky Electric is owned and operated locally, and we represent One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, Ben Franklin Plumbing, and Mr. Sparky Electric. Our company has been serving the metro area since 1990, and we are currently seeking to hire an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. At Mr. Sparky, we specialize in providing residential electrical services, maintenance, and installation, and we are excited to offer an opportunity to the right candidate to help us expand our electrical division.

We are a growing residential electrical contractor serving homeowners throughout the Twin Cities north metro area and are looking for a Licensed Journeyman Electrician with strong production skills and a sales mindset. Position Overview
This role combines hands-on residential electrical work with customer communication and sales. You will diagnose issues, present options, price jobs, and complete work efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential service work, remodel wiring, panel upgrades, troubleshooting, and new installations
- Ensure all work complies with Minnesota State Electrical Code and local inspection requirements
- Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings and recommended solutions
- Provide accurate pricing and written estimates on-site
- Identify opportunities for upgrades (panels, surge protection, lighting, EV chargers, etc.)
- Close sales and complete work to high production standards
- Maintain proper documentation and job notes
- Keep a clean, safe, and professional job site
Qualifications
- Journeyman's license and 2 years residential electrical experience
- Strong residential troubleshooting and installation experience
- Ability to sell services ethically and confidently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated and production-driven
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check (working in occupied homes)
Preferred Experience
- Service electrician background
- Experience with flat-rate pricing or service software
- Panel replacements, service upgrades, and residential remodels
- Comfortable discussing financing options with homeowners
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $38.00-45.00 per hour + commissions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Background check and drug screening
- Clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions.
- Must have local and state licenses as needed.
- Journey License Required
- Master License a Plus
