The HVAC Technician would be responsible for the complete and satisfactory installation of residential HVAC equipment and accessories. Oversees the work of Assistant Installation Technician to ensure work is performed correctly, communicates with customers to provide suitable comfort solutions, answers questions resolves problems, and ensures customer satisfaction This position will maintain workforce scheduling projects to ensure profitability, job completion with customer satisfaction, effective planning/execution that meet customer requirements.
- Installs heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, as well as accessories, by company standards/ requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and duct fittings, as necessary.
- Performs limited diagnostics, as necessary.
- Completes installation forms that reflect tasks performed for reporting accuracy and future comparison.
- Effectively communicates with customers regarding questions, concerns, and problems.
- Performs start-ups on heating, cooling systems, and other components. •
- Responsible for the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete installation work.
- Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being effectively used, maintained, and accounted for.
- Maintains safe working conditions installation crew.
- Ensures the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defective warranty parts to the branch, and orders/replenishes vehicle stock as needed
- Maintain safety and quality as a top priority
- Must have prior HVAC Installation Technician experience
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of operational functionality of residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
- Knowledge of the layout and installation requirements of residential duct work and fittings.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must have appropriate trade tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- NATE Certification
- ·Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and drug screening tests
