Specific Duties
As an HVAC Install Technician, your primary responsibility will be to install and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential properties. You will work closely with a team of technicians and follow established procedures to ensure the efficient and safe installation of HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install HVAC systems: You will be responsible for installing various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints, following installation guidelines, and ensuring proper placement and connection of equipment.
2. Perform system testing: You will conduct thorough testing of installed HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly. This includes checking for leaks, verifying proper airflow, and testing electrical connections.
3. Troubleshoot and repair: In addition to installations, you may be required to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems. This involves diagnosing issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring optimal system performance.
4. Maintain documentation: Accurate record-keeping is essential in this role. You will be responsible for documenting all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including equipment specifications, parts used, and any relevant notes.
5. Adhere to safety protocols: Safety is of utmost importance in HVAC installations. You will be expected to follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC certification or relevant technical training
- Previous experience in HVAC installation preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
